The Spindletop-Gladys City Boomtown Museum preserves 15 buildings from the 1901 oil boomtown that sprang up around the Lucas Gusher. It is located on the campus of Lamar University in southeast Beaumont. The buildings are fully furnished as they would have been while the town flourished and include a barbershop, general store, saloon and stable.
